Kenedey and Lauren... precious!

Would you get a load of those rolls?!

Carson in the Hot Tub... he LOVES it!

So this is catch up from 4th of July photo too. Our 4th was very nice. We spent the day at my Grammy's lake house on Ackerson Lake basically just hanging out. She had us over for breakfast and made omlets... not very often someone cooks for me so it was super treat. Then we spent the day outside. Carson took a 2 1/2 hour nap and didn't quite make it to the boat parade they have at 1:00pm. He was just getting too fussy and as much as I wanted him to see the parade I just couldn't keep him awake that miserable. Kenedey and I went out on the paddle boat on the lake more than anything to do the therapy on her knee by paddling... it worked pretty good! She did well. We left the lake around 4 and went over to my other grandparents who are out of town to water their flowers. I figured that it would take about 20 minutes... these are the ones with the waterfall and gorgeous landscaping. Yeah not 20 minutes more like an hour and a half! They have so much to water. It was not a big deal but I just had no idea how long it would take! The kids played in the water and Carson go soaked he loves the water! They also played in the sandbox! It really turned out to be a nice day.

The theme was inventions... the Jack Daniels boat was handing out shots to every dock they passed. Cute idea!

After all that we came home had some dinner and headed outside and Jason did a bunch of fireworks for the kids. Carson is not at all scared of them. He seems to enjoy them. After that, we headed over to devils lake for their fireworks. I should have taken my camera to practice shooting those fireworks manually... but I forgot! Who knew!

Back to work today as usual. Jason brought Kenedey in to see Dr. Robertson and he took a look at her knee. He said absolutely no camp until the knee is aspirated. She is supposed to go to camp in Wisconsin on Sunday. Well we had to make a decision today and decide weather or not she could go to camp. We decided it is not in her best interest to go. Mostly because she cannot get up out of bed in the morning. It takes her some time to be able to move and even more than that as you know when kids go to camp they don't rest and just go go go... which would normally be great... but when she is in a flare she gets tired a lot easier. Last year when we picked her up she was Exhausted and slept for about 2 days! I just don't think her body can take it for the whole week and its just so far from home.

We talked to her rheumatologist after Dr. Robertson saw her and they are going to do her procedure to withdraw the fluid and inject a steriod next Friday. They have to put her to sleep under ansthesia so they couldn't do it sooner due to no time in the operating time available until then. Bummer. If she had been able to get it done we probably could have made the trip to camp at least then I would know she could get out of bed in the morning. That was a terrible choice to have to make about camp.

We told Kenedey that maybe we could take a family trip at the end of August and go up to Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City for a few days in lieu of not being able to go to camp. That at least has lifted her spirits a bit.

Tonight we did some sparklers and Kenedey's friend Taylor is spending the night. They are playing barbies and bratz dolls and having a great time.

Well I need to go search for the remote that Carson has once again lost for us. Ive already looked everywhere obvious and cleaned out the toy box and couch with no luck... wish me luck! We cant work the TV without it because we have locked the buttons on the front of the TV so Carson cannot play with them! Good times!

I leave you with one more... Lauren doing what she does when shes mad at you... pouting!
