Picture overload

HOW CAN I EVER SAY NO TO A FACE LIKE THIS?

GUESS WHAT!!! I got a new camera... I got a new camera! I am super excited. Its a Nikon D40 SLR. A person I know who is into photography knew that I had an interest in learning manual photography. Well the opportunity came up for him to get a better camera so he is selling me is D40. I'm able to make payments of $100.00 per month until its paid off which I got a tremendous deal since the camera had really only been used roughly 3 times. I will have it paid off in 3 months. Anyway... im super excited and i've been snapping lots of pics and seeing what I get out of them... It will take me probably years to learn ALL the features... there is a lot to learn again and just when I was getting comfortable with my other one! Oh well...

So yesterday was a rough day so I didn't get a chance to blog. I got home from work and Carson was Mr. Whiney Pants. He did not want me to put him down at all and he was beating Kenedey. He can be a meany. We took him outside to play, read books... all the usual things to occupy him and he just whined and complained all evening. After I finally put him to bed I stayed up playing with my new camera until about 1 am. Can you say psychotic Kari? Yeah I think so!

Today was better than yesterday. I got home from work a little early about 4:30 and the kids and I went to the library in Onsted to sign Kenedey up for the summer reading program. For those of you who have kids this age.... My cousin is the media center specialist at Onsted and she told me that if kids can read just 4 books at their level during the summer studies have shown that, that will maintain their reading level. Obviously our goal is to not just maintain but increase her reading, so we are going to shoot for well over 4 books, we will see how she does. Now if I could just find a way to keep her practicing math. I need to work on that one. Maybe I can find some programs online. Any of you teachers out there have any suggestions feel free to add a comment!

After the library we came home and had dinner. Jason headed into Jackson to take care of some things and the kids and I headed outdoors to burn off some energy. Carson's mood was a complete 180 from yesterday. He was wonderful. He didn't whine once until he was ready to come in and that was like 9pm! Good job Carson!

The neighborhood kids used their imagination and did a circus parade outside tonight. It was rather entertaining. They all went and got some ridiculous outfits and called it a costume and paraded around for us. Carson go to be the one pulled in the wagon! He enjoyed it! I of course had to take lots of pics of that... but my neighbors know im crazy!

So Carson still makes a entire mess of himself and his tray and the floor when he eats. He literaly makes a mess from head to toe and I even captured THAT on camera... I think I see peas and blackberries on those piggies. Ugh this is so irritating to clean EVERYTIME he eats something. I hope its just a phase or its going to be a rough life of laundry stain removal for me... good thing that is one thing im good at is stain removal!
I am noticing that Carson is now learning/trying to learn to stack 2 blocks. I had the blocks out in his room tonight and he copied me and tried to stack them. I see another motor skill approaching! Yeah... Also tonight the kids were playing with a ball outside and he was trying to throw to the other kids. Kenedey helped him a bit but he thought it was great. That ought to make his dad proud. I was watching carefully to see if he would throw with his left hand... yeah too early to tell! LOL A left handed pitcher would be great. If not oh well!

Well I have to actually get some sleep tonight and that laundry over there -----------> is calling my name! It NEEDS to be put away. More pics to come very soon. Stay tuned. Photograph natzi's please feel free to critique any of these and let me know what I should do to improve the pics. Thanks in advance. :-)
