OCDish...

Obsessive Compulsive... and it concerns me...

So this is Carson's update finally. It has taken some time to pull it together. It's been awhile and he really is changing everyday. His language development suddenly took off shortly after Christmas and he really is saying something new EVERYDAY.

The weird parts first and then we will get to the cute things!

He has a terrible time transitioning from one task to the next. I mean it's bad. I don't know if it's normal or not. For example;

He spends hours taking coins out of his Lightening McQueen piggy bank and then putting them all back in... over. and over. and over. and over. and over.... you get the idea. When I think it's time for him to be done and go wash his hands after playing with money he has to have a meltdown.
Similar story... he has taken over a tower of blank CD's that we had and he will take them off and then back on then tower over and over and over and over. Again, you get the idea.

Lotion... ugh... he needs it on his skin after a bath, with the dry weather and all... BUT, he would put the entire bottle on himself and ask for more and more and more, over and over again... UNTIL... the meltdown when we tell him no more, all done. Oh and the water in the bathtub... he throws a fit if you shut the faucet completely off. I has to be on SOME. Fill the cup over and over and over and over.

And one more example just to prove a point. The VACUME... today he wanted to do it for so long and I gave up because I just couldn't do another meltdown... the vacuume overheated and shut itself off. Ugh... writing this just exhausts me. It's always something... here are some pics to give you an idea of how it goes, over and over and over and over and over!!! Seriously... any of you out there with children is this something you have experienced? I'm not sure if it's just a phase and we will get past it eventually... or if there is something I should do to be helping him.

Starting off... still happy and busy
Then... mommy says Ok Carson that's enough vacumming and here is what you get:
a little madder....
The full deal... throw yourself down and kick and scream... all because mom said it's time to be done vacuuming??? (mom's SO confused)
