Im back!

This is the face that screams at me whining all the time! LOL

So sorry to those of you who check this regularly! I have been bad at blogging this week. Not a lot to talk about since its just been sort of quite without Kenedey around. I got a new photo editing program and everytime im at the computer ive been toying with that. Guess blogging took a backburner.

Jason's grandpa passed away this week. I cant remember if I already blogged about that, but he had the funeral and all that this week. His grandpa only made it 3 weeks after his grandma passed. It wasnt a shock to anyone... its like everyone knew they would go together. It's amazing I cant remember exactly how many years they were married somewhere in the 60 some years anyway. Life for them was just that.... them.... they were the type of people who didn't need anything but each other to be happy. J's grandpa was really sad when his wife passed Jason says... I guess thats the way they wanted to go... together. Jason said today when we were riding in the car, "I can't believe they are gone." It is strange to think the BOTH are gone so quickly. They will sure be missed by all. Im a so glad that we got some pictures of Carson with them before they passed. When I took the pictures last fall, I never tought to myself... better do this so we have some pictures. So glad I did.

On a lighter note. Carson is having a better few days. He hung out with Mandy (babysitter) Thursday and his daddy on Friday. He hasn't been quite as whiny. Don't get me wrong still somewhat whiny but not terribly! Maybe its passing... the phase I mean. Yeah no such luck for me! I won't hold my breath!

Last night we just hung out at home and relaxed and did some cleaning. This morning I got up and started laundry... played with Carson and made Cream Puff Cake for a "party" we went to tonight. My dessert turned out great. Ive made it a few times before and its wonderful... and super healthy... yeah right! Then Carson went down for his nap and I worked on pictures im putting together for a gift for my great grandma and grandma's birthday that I have to have done tomorrow. It's taking me forever to choose which pics I want to use. Ugh. Ill try to take a pic of the finished product tomorrow. Wish me luck.

So anyway we went over to some friends tonight. Jason spends a lot of time over at their house and I have never gone with him. No good reason, its just tough to get out all the time with everything we have going on 2 kids in two very different stages of life! But we had an awsome time. It was very relaxing. They have an amazing yard and the kids just run free its great. They played horse shoes. Had dinner that Nicole (by the way this is her parents home and she lives there also) made which was wonderful. Those of you who don't know Nicole she is the new Physician Assistant at my work. Very funny how that worked out but thats a story for another time! Once it got dark they did fireworks. They had a huge assortment that they had gotten and they were awsome. Carson got to see a few of them when we woke him up to come home and he wasn't scared at all. One little girl there named Taylor was petrified. Poor thing I know they are loud! I promise to share pics of all this tomorrow, but its after midnight and I just dont have the energy to load them all. The ones I am posting I didn't do any editing and they were already on my computer.

One more thing to share before I go. I got to see my aunt Angie and cousin Zac Wed and Thurs. We had lunch together on Wed and then hung out for a short time on Thurs evening. It was great to see them! They live up near grand rapids, not too far, but sometimes we dont see them for a few months.

Kenedey will be home by Monday. They are already on their way and they are in Kentucky visiting my sister Raquel that lives there... she is the one who has Gabi Lillie, Harrison, and Henry if you remember them from previous posts! Im sure Ken is enjoying her time with them. I missed her terrible tonight when the other little girls were playing! Cant wait for Monday to be here!

My attempt at Firework photography on Sat. night. I love the orange and purple I know it's blurry but its ok with me! Its' really tough to get good pics of fireworks when you dont know what your doing!

So had a good weekend it was pretty restful Sunday. I just hung out with Carson and did some minor stuff around the house and took a nap when he did! I love Sunday's! Back to work today as usual.

Tonight Mandy my other babysitter was over and we went over to see if my grandma Grace was home and to chat with her. She wasn't home, but we went out to see the animals and to get some shots of Carson in his new outfit. He got this adorable Tigers outfit. I tried to get him to keep the hat on because it looks so cute... no luck with that. He leaves it on for a minute and its off. We went and played on the tractor, then went a took a drive out back in the woods to see if we could see any deer. We only saw one deer just beautiful. So we were driving up this big hill back in the woods and I didn't feel safe going up it, so I decided I would back down and go the other way.... well I look in my rear view mirror and you will NOT believe what I see..... MY CAMERA is on my trunk hood. Yes... my most prized posession. MY CAMERA.... I set it there when I put Carson in his carseat... and we had already been all over hills and all kinds of bumps and weeds and more bumps. It is a SERIOUS miracle that it didn't fall off and break and whatnot... someone was looking out for me. Thank you god!

We left there and stopped over at my Grandpa's house just to say hi and play in the sandbox... by then Carson was in one of his "moods". So we went inside to play with the "box" of cars that he loves and he just did continual whine and more whine. Yeah loads of fun. So we left came home and put the whiner to bed. He's down for the count. Thank god I need a break from the whine! Sanity!!! I feel like the little girl on that movie Pacifier when she is in the car and her sister is driving and they get to school and she plows out and yells, "LAND".... I feel like when Carson goes to bed... "SANITY"! It's a miracle I am still sane! Oh wait im not right?!

So Kenedey got off to Florida without any problem at all. But she has been homesick since she left! She has called everyday crying saying she wants to come home. Poor girl she is such an HB! (homebody). I keep telling her she will be home in no time!

I went to Jessicas last night and hung out with her and the kids. I had to work this morning and of course so did Jason so Jessica watched Carson (aka: the brat) while I worked.

He has been such a bear lately. He has proably cried more today than smiled. I dont know what the deal is and I wish I did. My nerves are about worn out. I am a very patient person, but his whining and screaming just gets to everyone. I wish I knew what to do to make it better. I hope just ignoring it will help this phase pass quickly. I took some pics of Jack and Lauren today and just thought I would share them with you. So I hope you enjoy not much else going on around here other than whining! TTYL

Im sure I know what Jessica is thinking as she sees my pics of today! She's saying to herself!!! "She would"... would take pictures of logs and cows! LOL I think im obsessed with pressing the button on the camera. I am so happy with the way my first batch developed that now I want to see more of what my camera is capeable of.

We went tonight to check on my Grandma Grace. She has been having some health problems over the past few days and she needs to be checked out. So I went over and talked about all that and got her all set. As you all know by now if you read my blog... that woman is my heart. I just adore her. I can't help but cherish her more and more all the time because I know she wont be around forever. Although I would give anything if she could be here to watch my kids grow up. Im so lucky to have her... Ok I know enough already ive said this all before. Anyway she is going to come into the office where I work and see Dr. Robertson. I know he will be sure that she is taken care of and quickly so she doesn't get sicker quickly. So ill keep you posted on how that goes. Amazingly enough she was willing and compliant tonight when I talked her into seeing him tomorrow. I expected her to say no no like she always does when we try to help her... shes an independent kind of gal!

We went out to the barn when we were getting ready to leave there. Ken fed the cows some grass, we checked out the nasty pigs.... and played on the tractor... Carson isn't happy unless you let him drive!

We left there and ran over to my other grandparents house to take them some pics from the weekend and drop off some hair stuff that I picked up at Maly's for grandma Ruthann. The kids played outside in the sandbox and with the bunny they have. JJ has this huge "box" of little matchbox cars and you would have thought Carson hit the jackpot he LOVED it!

My grandparents used to have a pool in their backyard. They took it out a few years ago... got to be too much work and they have put this waterfall in that is just gorgeous! They are working really hard on the landscaping and its lookin awsome so I took some pics there. Its a great place to shoot photos. Anyway that's abou it for the day. Things at work are "as usual" I can't complain. Things seem to be going smoothly... Dr. R was about an hour behind a couple of times today... we haven't gotten that behind in a LONG time. I guess it happens. But I hate it! Tomorrow I work late and then have to finish packing Kenedey to go to Florida. We haven't even started yet and she leaves Thurs. But really we just have to throw clothes in a suitcase and off she goes at this point... its become like taking a quick car trip to see grandparents... No big deal to her! Probably no blogging tomorrow.. busy day! NIGHT! KARI out! He didn't even make it 5 minutes down the road!

Im a lame blogger

This is my favorite lady in teh world. It's my grandma Grace that I often write about! I tried to get some good pics of her this weekend but I need to learn how to get glare off of glasses. This is the best I could get. Isn't she precious. I wish you could see her smile!

Carson ridin dirty!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a few days. Busy life as usual. Some quick updates... my weekend consisted of after work on Fri. went over to Jessi's to help her get ready for Lauren's 2nd bday party. I mowed her lawn and cleaned out her garage while her and Kayla went and got food and tables and chairs. It turned out just fine. The party was nice and I think Lauren enjoyed herself! She fell in LOVE with this pair of shoes that I got her. I went a "little" overboard and got her 5 pairs of shoes. I know I know I should be ashamed of myself, but gosh she's so friggin cute and I love shopping for her and she's my girl. Whats a girl to do?! Anyway these little green shoes she got she wore them all afternoon and didn't want to take them off to get into the tub. She knows how to win my heart... who knew she would pick shoes over all the toys... NOW THAT'S MY GIRL! Not like she needed to win it, she already has my heart! She had a good time in her cake too. She played in it and did her "makeup" with it! I told her to wash her hair too and she did! Awww what a little stinker! Her mom made me give her a bath and wash her hair which she hates having done by the way. But we threw her and Carson in together and she did fine! Anyway all of that was so fun.

THE SHOES!!!!

On Sat. morning before Lauren's party I got up and went garage saleing in the great neighborhood of Loch Erin. I didn't get to look at as much as I would have liked to, I had to take Carson because Jason was as work, however I did still find some great things. I got a super nice Little Tykes wagon for $25 pretty much perfect condition. I got a new little ride on toy for Carson since we had to throw out the poop mobile! (see old blog :-) I got that for $1. Also got a set of Tupperware bowls for $5. I think I made out pretty good. All of those were needs and I saved us money! Go ME! LOL

I also went to Juilet Robertson's (Dr. Robertson's daughter's) open house. That was loads of fun. Not really. The party was great and pretty much everything was nice... with the exception of the dreaded coworker! That makes things a bit uncomfortable. I sat by some of our patients turned friends, and talked to a few others. Thank you Ellen for helping me feel comfortable I appreciate it so much! They had a slushy machine set up... perfect for the hot day that it was. Dr. R tells me today that they went through 10 gallons of slushy mix... thats a whole lotta slushies!

Sunday morning we just hung out at Jessi's we stayed the night there and just cleaned in the morning and hung out and relaxed with the kids. I took my usual nap that I like to sneak in on Sunday's. We hurried up and came home while the race was on so we didn't get caught in traffic. Did laundry and got ready for the week. I worked late tonight (10 hours) because one person is on vacation and Dr. R isn't working Thurs or Fri. So I will have Thurs. off.

Kenedey is leaving for Florida on Friday @ 8:45am. She will be gone for a week and they are driving up. My parents have been BEGGING for her to come down since she got out of school, she finally gave in and said she would go down now. Must be a rough life deciding when and if you want to go to Florida... GIVE ME A BREAK! Ill go, Ill go!!!! Anytime!

I got some pics developed for the first time with my camera and I am very happy with the quality. I need to work on camera shake and learn to set my camera down when I can to take a picture. But I guess thats why I take so many im bound to get some good ones. I think when I looked there was something like 530 pics on there! I only developed about 130 of them. yeah I think 530 is a little ridiculous, but its knew... the novelty hasn't worn off!

Well thats about all the updating for now! I'll try to get back into the bloggin world. I like it, it keeps me motivated! Its also so cool to look back and remember what we have done recently! ENJOY!

Busy Day

So another busy day as usual, but it's Thurs so my half day at work. I spent the afternoon taking a little nap while Carson napped then when he was up I was ready to get out of the house. We called Kayla and asked if she wanted to go into Adrian for some dinner with us and to go shopping. We weren't really looking for anything specific, just looking. We had dinner at Garfield's and then went into the mall to walk around and let Carson burn some energy. He rode the tractor they had and he also colored with crayons for the first time ever. I have put off letting him use crayons because I assumed he would eat them. I was right. But he did actually try to scribble on the paper. I was proud! He was a riot putting the crayons in his mouth thinking he was funny! I think he knew thats not what you do with them... in his eyes all the more reason to do so!

Im beginning to embarass Kenedey with all my picture taking! She thinks im nuts to take so many but I just cant help myself! It's so fun! And my kids are so cute what are you gonna do?

This afternoon Kenedey and I also did a little project for Jason's grandma its her birthday tomorrow so we made her a stepping stone. She has flowers and all that good stuff I think she will like it!

After we had dinner tonight and after the mall, we went to the spotted cow its a really cool ice cream place they have 48 flavors of soft serve and EVERYThing else you could ever want. I got a Strawberry Banana smoothie and Kenedey got some dippin dots type thing called ity bits and Carson got this cone that was the cutest thing i've ever seen. It was about the size of my thumb... the cone and they put soft serve vanilla on top. I tried to take a pic but the pic just doesn't do it justice for how cute the thing was!

Well I probably wont get a chance to blog tomorrow. I am working and then going to Jessica's to clean out her garage for the party and get that all set up. Then coming home and getting ready for the crazy day we have planned on Saturday. We have Loch Erin garage sales on Sat morning and then Kids fest at the fair grounds and then an open house for the dr. I work for (his daugther) then Laurens party at 4... whew! Then sunday I want to take the kids out to the lake again. I know sounds exhausting to me too! But fun! It's better than sitting at home being bored. I love summer! I just love getting out and doing different things! Well enjoy all the pics!
